IMPLEMENTATION OF FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT IN IMPROVING EDUCATIONAL QUALITY AT SD INPRES TELLO BARU II

Abstract

The efficiency of the educational process and the quality of instruction in primary schools may be impacted by inadequate facility and infrastructure management. The purpose of this research is to explain how SD Inpres Tello Baru II has improved the quality of education via the use of facilities and infrastructure management. The research used a phenomenological design and a qualitative methodology. The principal, instructors, and students served as research informants for the observation, interviews, and documentation studies used to gather data. The Miles and Huberman model, which comprises data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, was utilised for data analysis. Source and method triangulation was employed to guarantee data validity. The findings demonstrated that the planning, procurement, utilisation, maintenance, and asset disposal phases of SD Inpres Tello Baru II's facilities and infrastructure management had been carried out methodically and collaboratively. A more dynamic and efficient learning process was facilitated by the use of technology-based resources including computer labs and LCD projectors. The effective and cooperative administration of facilities and infrastructure has been able to promote the continuity of learning and provide a more favourable learning environment, despite the school's ongoing challenges with classroom space and budget allocation. This research shows that the capacity of the school to maximise available resources to promote the quality of education is just as important to the efficacy of facilities and infrastructure management as the facilities' completeness.
