MANAGEMENT SUPERVISION IN IMPROVING THE PERFOMANCE OF EDUCATORS AT MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH MADANI ALAUDDIN GOWA

Abstract

Academic supervision is a crucial element for improving the quality of teachers in madrasas, but its implementation is still hampered by the low managerial and pedagogical competencies of teachers. In addition, limited mastery of learning technology is a major obstacle that needs to be addressed immediately to achieve optimal educational goals. This study aims to determine the implementation of academic supervision in improving the performance of teaching staff at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Madani Alauddin Gowa. This study uses a descriptive qualitative methodology to present a systematic overview of the implementation of supervision through data in the form of words, informant behavior, and learning device documents. In this study, there are four research subjects: the Madrasah Principal, the Supervisory Team, and Educators, because they are key actors who directly understand the supervision process in the field. The selection of these subjects aims to obtain a comprehensive perspective from both managerial and practical sides until reaching the point of data saturation, where information has been saturated and validated through source and method triangulation techniques. Subjects were selected purposively based on certain considerations and criteria that were in accordance with the research objectives, so that the selected sample was considered capable of providing relevant data. The results of the study showed that the principal routinely conducted academic supervision twice a year. planned to evaluation and improvement of the ability of educators in preparing lesson plans, managing classes, and using effective learning methods. Therefore, a periodic evaluation system and continuous monitoring are needed that are able to answer the needs of educators in madrasas.monitoring are needed that can meet the needs of educators in madrasas.
