Publishing Process

Jurnal Ilmu dan Industri Peternakan applies a systematic publishing process to ensure that all submitted manuscripts meet the journal's standards of scientific quality, originality, relevance, and publication ethics. The process consists of several stages, from manuscript submission to final publication.

Stages of the Publishing Process

  1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal's online submission system. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. Manuscripts should follow the journal's author guidelines.

  1. Initial Screening and Editorial Assessment

The editorial team checks the manuscript for relevance to the journal's scope, compliance with author guidelines, completeness, and plagiarism. Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected.

  1. Peer Review Process

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Reviewers assess the originality, scientific quality, methodology, validity of results, and contribution of the manuscript.

  1. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the editor makes a decision to accept the manuscript, request minor revisions, request major revisions, or reject the manuscript.

  1. Manuscript Revision

Authors revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers' comments and editorial recommendations. Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted with a clear response to each comment. Further review may be conducted when necessary.

  1. Final Acceptance

Once the manuscript meets the journal's scientific and editorial standards, the editor issues a formal acceptance decision. Acceptance is based on the quality of the revised manuscript and the fulfillment of editorial requirements.

  1. Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, language and formatting checks, reference verification, and preparation of the final layout. Authors may be asked to review the page proofs and correct typographical or production errors.

  1. Publication and Archiving

The final article is published online in the appropriate journal issue and made available to readers. The published article is archived to support long-term access and the preservation of the scholarly record.

The stages above are based on the journal's published peer-review and submission policies, with copyediting and archiving described as the final production stages.

Editorial Decision Policy

The editorial decision is made by the editor or editorial board after considering the reviewers' evaluations. The available decisions include:

  • Accept: The manuscript is accepted without further substantive changes.
  • Minor Revision: The manuscript requires limited corrections.
  • Major Revision: Substantial revisions are required before further consideration.
  • Resubmit for Further Review: The manuscript may be reconsidered after significant revisions.
  • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal's publication requirements.
