Management and Editorial Independence

The day-to-day operations of the journal are managed independently by the Editorial Board, led by the Editor-in-Chief. The organizational structure is divided as follows:
• The Editorial Team: Holds sole responsibility for the academic content, selection of reviewers, the double-blind peer-review process, and final publication decisions. The university administration does not interfere with or influence any editorial judgments or manuscript selections.
• The Publishing & Technical Team: Managed by the Rumah Jurnal Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar. This team handles the technical maintenance of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, layout editing, proofreading coordination, digital archiving, and indexing distribution.

Financial Sustainability and Business Model

Khizanah al-Hikmah : Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan, Informasi, dan Kearsipan operates under an Open Access business model. To sustain its operations, peer-review management, digital preservation, and web hosting, the journal relies on two primary funding streams:
• Annual financial subsidies and infrastructure support provided by Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar.
• An Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 50 levied on authors only after their manuscript has been officially accepted for publication. There are no submission fees, and editorial decisions are never influenced by the author's ability to pay the APC.
