Authorship Criteria

Qadauna: Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa Hukum Keluarga Islam is committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and academic integrity in determining authorship and recognizing scholarly contributions. The journal adopts authorship criteria consistent with the ethical principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), where applicable. Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the conception or design of the research, acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content; approved the final version to be published; and agreed to be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of the work.

All individuals listed as authors must meet these criteria, while contributors who do not qualify for authorship should be appropriately acknowledged with their permission. The journal strictly discourages unethical authorship practices, including ghost authorship, guest authorship, honorary authorship, and the unauthorized inclusion or exclusion of contributors. The order of authorship must be determined through mutual agreement among all authors before manuscript submission and should accurately reflect their respective contributions.

The corresponding author is responsible for coordinating communication with the editorial team, ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the submitted manuscript, and confirming that relevant ethical requirements have been fulfilled. Any request to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be accompanied by a clear explanation and written consent from all affected authors and is subject to editorial approval. Authorship disputes will be handled fairly and transparently, and the editorial team may request institutional clarification when necessary.

In accordance with responsible scholarly publishing practices, all authors are encouraged to provide a clear statement describing their individual contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. Through these authorship standards, Qadauna: Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa Hukum Keluarga Islam seeks to ensure appropriate recognition of intellectual contributions, prevent authorship misconduct, and strengthen the credibility and integrity of scholarly publications in Islamic family law and related legal studies.
