Generative AI Policy

Authors are required to report any use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted technologies in the development of their manuscript.

This journal acknowledges that generative AI systems and related AI-based applications (“AI Tools”), when applied in an appropriate and responsible manner, may support researchers by improving efficiency, facilitating timely access to insights, and contributing to the research process. Such technologies may be employed for purposes including, but not limited to, literature summarization, research scoping, identification of knowledge gaps, idea development, structuring of content, and enhancement of language quality. Nevertheless, AI Tools are intended only as supportive instruments and must not substitute for human scholarly judgment, domain expertise, or authorial accountability. Their use should always remain under meaningful human supervision and control.

Authors bear sole and full responsibility for every part of the manuscript’s content. This responsibility includes ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and impartiality of any AI-assisted material; checking the reliability and appropriateness of cited references; revising AI-generated text to preserve originality and authenticity; providing transparent disclosure of AI use; and complying with relevant requirements concerning privacy, intellectual property, and other legal or ethical rights.

Because authorship entails duties and accountability that can only be undertaken by human individuals, AI Tools may not be credited as authors or co-authors of a manuscript.

Any use of AI Tools in preparing the manuscript must be explicitly stated in the Authorship Statement submitted alongside the manuscript.

Sample disclosure statement:
During the preparation of this manuscript, the author(s) used [NAME OF TOOL / SERVICE] for [PURPOSE]. Following the use of this tool/service, the author(s) carefully reviewed and revised the material as needed and assume full responsibility for the final published content.

This policy does not extend to standard tools used exclusively for grammar correction, spell-checking, or reference management. Where no generative AI technologies were used, no disclosure is required.

To safeguard the rights of authors and maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, reviewers and editors are prohibited from using generative AI or AI-assisted technologies during the peer-review and editorial evaluation processes.
