Focus and Scope
Sociality: Journal of Public Health Service focuses on the development, implementation, and evaluation of context-sensitive health interventions within complex socio-environmental systems. It prioritizes studies that integrate local knowledge, ecological risk factors, and system-based approaches to address public health challenges in diverse settings, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Emphasis is placed on generating evidence that is not only scientifically rigorous but also applicable in real-world contexts, contributing to sustainable and scalable health solutions.
The journal covers a wide range of topics, including community-based and culturally grounded health interventions; environmental health risk interventions (e.g., toxic exposure, waste management, water contamination); One Health and eco-health approaches; disaster preparedness and resilience; behavioral and educational interventions across the life course; health system strengthening and workforce readiness; as well as implementation science and program evaluation. It also welcomes innovative studies on hybrid interventions that combine traditional practices with modern scientific approaches.
Importantly, this journal promotes Global South–Global North collaboration in health intervention and implementation science, fostering knowledge exchange, capacity building, and cross-context learning. It encourages contributions that highlight partnerships across regions, particularly those that bridge resource-constrained settings with advanced research environments, to advance equitable, inclusive, and globally relevant public health interventions.
