Disinformasi Keagamaan di Era Digital Sebagai Ancaman Keamanan Nasional: Strategi Penguatan Ketahanan Ideologi Berbasis Moderasi Islam

Abstract

Advances in digital communication technology have significantly transformed the way society produces, disseminates and consumes religious information. On the one hand, digital platforms have expanded the scope for public participation in religious discourse; on the other hand, they have also opened the door to the spread of inaccurate and manipulative information. This study aims to examine religious disinformation in the digital age as a form of non-conventional threat to national security, as well as to explore strategies for strengthening the ideological resilience of society through an approach of Islamic moderation. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design through the analysis of documentation regarding religious narratives circulating in the digital space. The analysis is conducted using the framework of information disorder, the concept of national resilience, and Islamic moderation. The results of the research indicate that religious disinformation in the form of misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation has the potential to intensify social polarisation and weaken social cohesion. Therefore, strengthening societal ideological resilience requires a multidimensional approach through the enhancement of digital and religious literacy, the strengthening of the role of social institutions, and the internalisation of the values of Islamic moderation—such as tawassuth, tasamuh, i’tidal, and tawazun in addressing the dynamics of information in the digital age.
