Elite : English and Literature Journal

Elite : English and Literature Journal (Print ISSN: 2355-0821, Online ISSN: 2580-5215) is  peer-reviewed journal devoted specifically to the studies of English linguistics and literature and other literatures with a special emphasis on local culture, wisdom, philosophy and identity. Elite : English and Literature Journal is accredited (SINTA 3) by the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education with the Decree Number 200/M/KPT/2020, 23 December 2020. Published twice a year in June and December, the first edition of ELITE was published in 2013. The journal contents are managed by the English and Literature Department, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar, Indonesia in collaboration with Elite Association Indonesia and Linguistics and Literature Association (LITA)The primary objective of the journal is to provide a productive forum for lecturers, researchers, authors, graduate students, and practitioners to present the results of their recent studies in the areas of English linguistics and literature and other literary traditions. From the second issue in 2022 onward. Elite journals divide the scope of articles into different focuses in each issue. For the upcoming issue, volume 9 no 2, which will be published in December, we focus on literary ideas and will then be filled with a focus on linguistics and ELT in the upcoming June 2023 issue. This division of scope will continue alternately. The journal is also intended to help disseminate recent developments in theories, concepts, and ideas in the areas concerned with the academic community of language and literature studies in Indonesia in particular and worldwide in general.
