Beginning this year, as part of our commitment to broadening scholarly dissemination and increasing the visibility of research publication in the field, the first of four issues has been published. This issue brings together nine insightful contributions that capture the dynamic transformation of Library and Information Science (LIS) in an era shaped by digital innovation, ethical complexity, and the reconfiguration of knowledge institutions. The articles explore emerging pedagogical approaches such as socially grounded information literacy and curriculum alignment with global standards (IFLA), while also mapping the intellectual landscape of Islamic Work Ethics and advancing strategies for disseminating Nusantara manuscript heritage. Critical reflections on artificial intelligence, inspired by Luciano Floridi, are complemented by empirical studies on digital school libraries and the adaptive capacities of public libraries in the face of technological disruption. Expanding beyond conventional boundaries, this issue highlights the integrative role of museums and archives in fostering inclusive, interdisciplinary, and memory-based knowledge systems, including the global significance of Indonesia’s archival heritage within the framework of UNESCO. Collectively, these works reaffirm LIS as a vital field at the intersection of knowledge, culture, and societal transformation.
