Mazahibuna: Jurnal Perbandingan Mazhab (Mazahibuna: Journal of Madhhab Comparative) is an academic journal that has been publishing scholarly papers since 2019. The journal provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, and academics to publish empirical and theoretical studies in the field of Islamic law, particularly concerning the comparison of madhhabs and legal systems in Islamic countries, with a special emphasis on Indonesia. Adopting a transnational approach, the journal explores issues that transcend national boundaries and examines the comparative dynamics of Islamic law in relation to contemporary global challenges. Its scope includes Islamic Law, Customary Law, Usul Fiqh, Fatwa Review, Constitutional Law, Islamic Politics, Humanitarian Law and International Law, Sociological Law, Interpretation of Legal Verses (Tafsīr Aḥkām), and Legal Hadith (Ḥadīth al-Aḥkām), thereby contributing to the broader discourse of global Islamic legal studies. Organized by Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar, the journal was published biannually in June and December until 2025, and beginning with Volume 8 in 2026, it will be published triannually in April, August, and December. The journal strongly prioritizes research-based papers within its scope, and all submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening followed by a peer-review process conducted by respected reviewers in relevant fields.

The journal has been accredited by Akreditasi Jurnal Nasional (ARJUNA) officially Managed by Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Republic Indonesia SINTA 5 grade since 2019 to 2023 and on reaccreditation increased to SINTA 4 according to Surat Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan Kementerian Riset, Teknologi dan Perguruan Tinggi Nomor Nomor 72/E/KPT/2024 Tentang Peringkat Akreditasi Jurnal Ilmiah Periode I Tahun 2024. Since 06 October 2022 has been accepted for inclusion in DOAJ. As of December 29, 2025, Mazahibuna: Jurnal Perbandingan Mazhab has been accepted for inclusion in Scopus. Mazahibuna: Jurnal Perbandingan Mazhab has officially been listed in the Scopus Source List (Source ID: 21101438560)
