About the Journal

Al GIZZAI: Public Health Nutrition Journal (e-ISSN: 2775-0434; p-ISSN: 2775-0426) is a peer-reviewed, fully open-access scientific journal published by the Department of Public Health, Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar, Indonesia. The journal is published biannually in January and July and disseminates high-quality original research articles, scientific communications, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses in public health nutrition.

The journal welcomes multidisciplinary research in basic and applied nutrition sciences, emphasizing nutritional epidemiology, maternal and child nutrition, life-course nutrition, nutritional status, dietary behaviors, food security, nutrition-related diseases, and the biological, socioeconomic, cultural, and environmental determinants of nutrition and health. It also encourages research on nutritional metabolism, functional foods, community-based interventions, and evidence-based nutrition policies and programs that contribute to improving population health.

All manuscripts undergo editorial screening and, when eligible, double-anonymous peer review by at least two independent reviewers. Published articles are freely and immediately accessible worldwide, supporting scientific collaboration and the dissemination of public health nutrition knowledge.
