Jurnal Diskursus Islam

Digital Preservation Overview

To ensure long-term preservation and continuous digital access to all published scholarly content, Jurnal Diskursus Islam employs rigorous archiving frameworks. We recognize that the permanence of scholarly records is vital for research integrity, global networks of Islamic knowledge, and future academic generations.

1. Digital Archiving Platforms

1
LOCKSS System Integration Distributed Preservation

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system developed by Stanford University Libraries. LOCKSS creates a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, allowing them to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

2
CLOCKSS System Preservation Global Safety Net

We also activate the CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) engine to ensure a secure, long-term global archive. In the event that the journal stops operating, the CLOCKSS system grants open access to the preserved metadata and PDF articles seamlessly.

2. National and Institutional Repositories

National Library of Indonesia (Perpustakaan Nasional RI)

All legal deposits of digital full-text versions of individual papers are routinely registered and submitted to the digital preservation infrastructure monitored by the National Library of Indonesia (Indonesia OneSearch).

Institutional Repository

All published volumes are automatically mirrored and backed up within the Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar open access library repository infrastructure to safeguard the metadata from accidental digital loss.

3. Author Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories, personal websites, or academic networks such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu) prior to and during the submission process. This is believed to lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work. Jurnal Diskursus Islam allows authors to archive:

Post-print Version Accepted Manuscript
