Original Research Articles present empirical findings, conceptual advances, or theoretical analyses across key areas of Islamic studies, including Qur'anic and Hadith studies, Islamic law, theology, philosophy, education, and contemporary Islamic thought.
Review Articles offer comprehensive, critical evaluations of existing literature within Islamic studies. The journal accepts systematic literature reviews (SLRs), scoping reviews, integrative reviews, and narrative syntheses.
Special issues address designated thematic topics relevant to Islamic studies. Contributions may arise from open calls for papers or direct editorial invitations. Special issue manuscripts are a publication category subject to the exact same double-blind peer-review standards, desk evaluations, and ethical criteria as regular submissions; inclusion in a special issue does not guarantee acceptance.
Manuscripts must adhere strictly to the journal's official Author Guidelines and template specifications (including length guidelines spanning the abstract, main text, footnotes, and references). Submissions that deviate significantly from formatting, citation (Chicago Full Note), or ethical standards may be returned to authors prior to formal peer review.
