This policy outlines the acceptable use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies in manuscript preparation, peer review, and editorial workflows to ensure transparency, accountability, and legal compliance.

Core AI Principles

Writing & Authorship Content Creation

AI tools cannot be listed as authors as they lack legal accountability. Authors using AI to improve readability or grammar must declare its use prior to the References section.

Scientific Images & Data Data Integrity

Generating, manipulating, or altering scientific figures or primary data using Generative AI is strictly prohibited, except when AI image generation itself is the core subject of research.

Peer Review Integrity Confidentiality

Editors and reviewers must not upload submitted manuscripts or datasets into public AI tools to safeguard confidentiality and intellectual property rights.

Standard AI Disclosure Statement:

Authors using AI tools in manuscript preparation are required to include a statement in their manuscript following this format:

"During the preparation of this work, the author(s) used [Name Tool/Service] in order to [Reason/Purpose, e.g., refine language and improve readability]. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as needed and take(s) full responsibility for the content of the publication."

Editorial Action & Compliance Note:

Submitted manuscripts will be screened for potential undisclosed AI usage and similarity. The editorial team reserves the right to request clarification or reject manuscripts that violate ethical standards in accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
