This procedure applies to appeals against editorial decisions and to complaints about the policies, procedures, or actions of the editorial team of Komodifikasi: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi. Complaints are welcomed as an opportunity for improvement and are handled promptly, courteously, and constructively.

Appeals against editorial decisions

Authors who believe that a decision to reject their manuscript was based on a misunderstanding or a factual error may submit a written appeal to the Editor in Chief at [email protected] within 30 days of the decision, stating the grounds of the appeal and responding point by point to the reviewers' comments. The Editor in Chief, where necessary with an additional independent reviewer, will decide whether the decision should stand, whether another opinion is required, or whether the manuscript should be reconsidered. Decisions on appeals are final.

Complaints about processes or ethics

Complaints about delays, the conduct of editors or reviewers, or ethical matters are investigated by the Editor in Chief in accordance with COPE guidelines. If the complaint concerns the Editor in Chief, it is handled by the publisher through the Head of the Department of Communication Science. The complainant will receive feedback on the outcome. If the complainant remains dissatisfied, the matter may be referred to the Committee on Publication Ethics.
