Plagiarism Policy
Komodifikasi: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi does not tolerate plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism and redundant publication. Plagiarism occurs when an author uses the ideas, data, words, or work of another person without appropriate acknowledgement, whether intentionally or not.
All manuscripts are screened using Turnitin before review. Manuscripts with a similarity index of 20% or more (excluding references and properly quoted material) are returned to the authors for revision or rejected. Authors are required to upload their own Turnitin similarity report as a supplementary file at submission.
When plagiarism is detected in a submitted manuscript, the manuscript is rejected and the authors' institution may be notified. When plagiarism is detected in a published article, the article is retracted in accordance with the journal's Correction and Retraction policy. Authors should use quotation marks and a citation whenever four or more consecutive words are taken from a source, and should cite the original source whenever an idea, finding, or figure is borrowed, even when paraphrased.
