Ethical Oversight

Komodifikasi: Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi expects all research involving human participants to comply with relevant ethical standards. Authors must state in the manuscript that informed consent was obtained from participants and, where applicable, that the study received approval from an institutional or national research ethics committee (including the protocol number). Research involving vulnerable populations, children, or sensitive personal data requires particular care; identifying information must be removed or anonymized unless participants have given explicit written consent for its publication.

Authors conducting research on social media or other online platforms are expected to respect the privacy and terms of service of the platforms and the reasonable expectations of users. The editors may request evidence of ethical approval or consent at any stage of the editorial process. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will not be considered for publication.
