Abstract

The data on the number of poor people in Sulawesi Island in 2023 is categorized as count data and is assumed to follow a negative binomial distribution. The analysis results identify overdispersion in the data. To address this issue, a negative binomial regression model is used. This study aims to identify factors that significantly influence the number of poor people in Sulawesi Island in 2023 using the negative binomial regression method.
